I have been a registered nurse for over 30 years. The majority of my nursing experience was in cardiovascular, surgical and gastroenterology nursing. The high stress level of hospital-based nursing and my knowledge of the importance of healthy nutrition made it necessary for me to complement my diet with nutritional supplements, which I have faithfully done over the past 30 years. It is now widely recognized among the experts, that in order to get all the necessary nutrition for optimal health one must supplement. Our soils have become depleted of their nutrients and minerals. We can no longer get what we need from our food supply, no matter how diligent our selection. Unlike my colleagues in the hospitals, I never missed a day of work due to illness. In addition to nursing, I also graduated from Dr. Ken Cooper's Institute for Aerobics Research as a personal trainer, and spent three years in that capacity.
I also have a continuing interest in healthful cooking. I graduated from the New York Restaurant Cooking School and the Culinary Institute of America with a certification in Nutritional Cuisine. As a result of these complementary activities, I have a diverse background in Wellness and a complete understanding of what it takes to be truly healthy and metabolically well. I can help you reach your goals and achieve greater levels of health and wellness.
Several years ago, at age 48, I was in a terrible auto accident and suffered over 100 fractures, and underwent 4 surgeries to repair a badly broken leg. The physical, emotional and spiritual stress was tremendous
. I was in a wheelchair for 6 months and gained 25 lbs. I knew I would require my supplements to heal correctly in the shortest time possible. I sought the help of a Holistic Nurse Practitioner and my Chiropractor. With their help, eating a healthy diet, exercising correctly for my circumstances, and using the Standard Process whole-food supplements, I now walk every morning for an hour with no limp. I have lost most of the weight gained during my convalescence (there's always a few more to go) and I feel great.
I am now 55 years old and not on any pharmaceutical drug for anything. I am an Associate Member of the International Foundation for Nutrition and Health and have completed my certification as a Clinician in Whole Foods Nutrition. I strongly believe in, and continue to use the Standard Process and Medi-Herb line of products, because they're all organic whole-food supplements, which easily assimilate in the body, unlike most synthetic products. I'm delighted to work with others, who also share my concerns and passion for health and well-being. I've reached a place in life where I have found my true calling -to help others achieve greater levels of health and wellness.
